Organic linseed oil is cold-pressed and unrefined. The oil obtained from linseed varieties (Linum usitatissimum) with high linoleic content is a yellowish oil with a characteristic nutty flavour. (A bitter taste is not a sign of oil deterioration.) Thanks to the cold-pressing method, the oil retains all its valuable properties. Linseed oil is characterised by a high content of Omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid ALA).
