The wood for this bowl was a gift from a neighbor. I am not sure of the wood type. I looks a bit like cherry but appears to be a bit too brown rather than the typical reddish tint.  I call it the “Feather Plum Bowl” due to the grain pattern in the base of the bowl, which too me, resembles a feather plum.  The finish is a polyurethane satin. This bowl may be used as a decorative item or for holding fruit in the kitchen. Polyurethane is considered food grade after a 30 day cure which would be mid October 2024. The dimensions of this bowl are 7-1/4″ diameter by 2-1/4″ tall. Care: Do not microwave, place in dishwasher or submerge in water. Hand wash and dry or if for decorative use use dust/Polish using your favorite wood cleaning products.
