Description The Type 24 pillbox was one of the standard defensive strongpoints built in England during WWII to counter the anticipated German invasion. They were designed for either riflemen or a section with a light machine gun. Unlike the Type 22, they are irregularly hexagonal in shape and generally have loopholes in all of the walls. The entrance is usually in the longest wall, and flanked by embrasures on either side. Built from both concrete and bricks, they are one of the most commonly found types. In order to aid with placing models inside, this is designed without an interior blast wall, and with a removable roof. Regional and other variations are also possible, please contact us for further information or with specific requests. Original file and painting: MarDav Miniatures These models are designed for modellers and collectors. They are not toys and are not suitable for children. Model supplied unassembled and unpainted. Additional finishing may be required during assembly. Finished colour of the product may vary from images shown. Photos and dimensions are at 28mm unless noted otherwise. All dimensions are complete with weapons unless otherwise stated. Other scales and dimensions may be available upon request.
